Privacy policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
ikuida is an app for several people to organize the care of someone who needs it. This policy explains what data is stored, why, where, and what you can do about it. We wrote it to be easy to understand: if anything is unclear, write to us.
1. Who is responsible
The controller of your data is Aurexis LLC, a Wyoming (United States) limited liability company, at 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.
For any privacy matter, including as the data protection officer contact under Brazil's LGPD: privacy@ikuida.com.
2. What data we store
About you, as a user:
- The Google account details needed to sign in: an identifier, your email and your name. We never see or store your Google password.
- The name you choose to show your group.
- The caregiver group you belong to and who created it.
- What you do in the app: the tasks you add, mark as done, change or cancel, and the notes you write, always with your name and the time.
- The invitations you send: the invited person's name, their relationship to you and, if you add it, their email.
About the person you care for:
- Their name, age or date of birth, their relationship to you, an optional label (for example, “Room 12”) and, if you add one, a photo.
- Their care tasks: meals, company, medication, wound care, hygiene and visits, with the time, details and notes you write.
Some of this information, such as medication or wound care, is health-related data. We handle it with special care: only your group sees it, and it is used only to make the app work.
What we don't do: we don't show ads, we don't use analytics or tracking tools, we don't sell or share your data for advertising, and we don't use your location or your contacts.
3. What we use it for
- To let you sign in with your Google account and use the app.
- To share care tasks with the other members of your group, and only with them.
- To send you task reminders on your phone. Reminders are prepared on the phone itself.
- To handle your requests and contact you about your account if needed.
- To keep the app secure and comply with the law.
4. Legal basis
We use your data to provide the service you request when you sign up (performance of a contract). Health-related data is processed with your explicit consent, which you give when you create your account and can withdraw at any time by deleting the person, your data or your account.
If you enter data about someone else, such as the person you care for, you confirm that you have their permission or that you are their legal representative (for example, as a family member, guardian or representative), or that you are acting in their vital interest when they cannot give it.
5. Who else sees it
- Your caregiver group. All members see the people cared for, their tasks and who did each thing.
- Google (Firebase). We use Firebase, by Google LLC, for sign-in, the database and the website. Google processes the data on our behalf and following our instructions.
- Authorities, only if the law requires it.
No one else has access. We don't sell your data, and we don't “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Where it is stored
Data is stored on Google servers in the United States. If you use ikuida from another country, your data is transferred there. Google provides safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep it
- Care tasks, notes and change history: 30 days from the time of the task. After that they are deleted automatically.
- Invitations: expire after 7 days and are deleted shortly after.
- Your profile, your group and the people cared for: for as long as you keep them. The group admin can remove a person along with all their tasks.
- If you delete your account, we delete your profile and sign-in data. What you did in a shared group stays for the others, but with your name replaced by “Deleted user”. If you were the admin, the group passes to the longest-standing member; if no one is left, it is deleted with everything in it.
8. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your data, to receive it in a portable format, to restrict or object to its use, and to withdraw your consent. You can do many of these things yourself in the app.
For anything else, email privacy@ikuida.com and we'll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country, for example the ANPD in Brazil.
To delete your account, see how to delete your account.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest on Google's servers. Access rules prevent anyone outside your group from reading or changing it. No system is perfect: if there were a security breach affecting you, we would notify you as the law requires.
10. Minimum age
You must be at least 18 years old to use ikuida. If you care for a minor, such as your child, you enter their data as their parent or guardian.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change it, we'll update the date above. If the change is significant, we'll let you know in the app before it takes effect.
